Perhaps an interesting epidemiological study could be made out of this

The neurologist that I saw yesterday mentioned that he as of late seen a very interesting convergence of symptoms and characteristics in patients and a bit he was doing disability evaluations for: fibromyalgia, obesity, sleep apnea (which is not surprising that the obesity), and almost without exception childhood sexual abuse. It would be fascinating to see if anyone has looked for connections there.

It turns out there's already a number of papers showing a relationship between childhood sexual abuse and fibromyalgia such as this oneThis paper indicates that there was no connection to fibromyalgia But those hadbeen sexually abused had worse symptoms.
