The End of Free Speech and Reality in California

10/9/17 Fox News:
California health care workers who “willfully and repeatedly” decline to use a senior transgender patient's “preferred name or pronouns” could face punishments ranging from a fine to jail time under a newly signed law.

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed the legislation last week.

The sponsor, Democratic state Sen. Scott Wiener, has argued adamantly that nobody is going to be criminally prosecuted for using the wrong pronoun.

“It’s just more scare tactics by people who oppose all LGBT civil rights and protections,” he said in a statement last month.

But the language seemingly allows for the possibility, however remote.
1 Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. [1 Thess. 5:1-3]

Not surprisingly, the comments section is full of commenters claiming that chromosomes do not matter; "Gender is in the brain." So is the belief that you are Napoleon.

I know many of you still live in the open ward. Why? You are funding dangerous madness with your taxes.

  1. The author of the H-1B legislation said in the beginning that it would protect peoples jobs. Now he says publicly it has been hi-jacked and used to put people out of work and then bring in cheap (almost slave) labor.

The Sponsor of this law says no one will be criminally prosecuted. People said the same thing before the cake baker was made an example of by the LGBTs. They also said Christians would not be persecuted for their religion in California.

And of course we have a Sanctuary State now, literallly allowing foreign troops to land on the grounds they are immigrants seeking a better life. It's going to be truly interesting what the results of the 2020 census will be. People I know back in California who felt I was nuts for leaving are now thinking of leaving themselves.
